Privacy policy

Cookimoki offers a contact form, recipe-contribution form, and direct email contact. It does not currently offer user accounts, comments, payments, an email newsletter, personalized advertising, or affiliate tracking. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and improve the recipes and browsing experience.

• Basic technical logs: after deployment, hosting and security providers may process standard request information such as IP address, browser or device type, time, and requested URL to deliver and protect the site.
• Website analytics: Google Analytics may process information about visited pages, approximate location, device and browser details, referral source, and interactions with the site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to distinguish visits and produce usage reports.
• Contact messages: if you use the form, we process your name, email address, enquiry type, optional related-page URL, message, and basic anti-abuse information so we can receive and respond to your enquiry.
• Recipe submissions: if you contribute a recipe, we process the recipe details, your name, email address, preferred public credit, optional profile link, permission confirmations, and basic anti-abuse information so we can review, test, contact you about, and potentially publish the contribution.
• Direct email: if you email us, we and the relevant email providers process your address, message, and attachments so we can respond.
• Local preferences: interactive recipe features may keep temporary state in your browser. Current ingredient checklists do not create an account or send those selections to Cookimoki.

Information may be used to operate and secure the site, answer messages, review and test recipe contributions, provide contributor credit, investigate corrections or rights claims, understand site usage, improve content and navigation, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use Analytics data for personalized advertising.

Hosting, content-storage, and email-delivery providers may process information to operate the site, store private recipe submissions, and deliver notifications or correspondence. Google processes analytics information as our analytics provider under its own terms and privacy practices. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings in our Google Analytics property.

Cookimoki also links to third-party photography sources and other websites; their privacy practices are outside our control.

We keep correspondence and recipe submissions only as long as reasonably needed for editorial review, contributor communication, records, safety, rights management, or legal obligations. Declined submissions may be removed from the active editorial queue.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. You can limit cookies through your browser settings and may use Google’s Analytics opt-out tools where available. To make a request, email hello@cookimoki.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain information when legally required.

Cookimoki is a general-audience recipe site and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

We will update this page before introducing services that materially change data collection, and will revise the date above when the policy changes.
