How it works
A careful path from memory to published recipe
Nothing goes straight onto the site. Every contribution enters a private review queue and follows the same editorial standards as a Cookimoki recipe.
- 01
You share it
Tell us about the dish, the ingredients, and the method you actually use at home.
- 02
We review it
The editorial team checks completeness, permissions, cultural context, and fit.
- 03
We test it
Promising recipes are standardized, cooked as written, and revised where needed.
- 04
We publish together
If accepted, we confirm your public credit and contact you before publication.

Tell us how you make it
Exact quantities and clear steps help us understand and test your recipe. You do not need polished food writing. Just tell us what works in your kitchen.
Before you begin
- โข Have ingredient quantities ready.
- โข Include at least two clear cooking steps.
- โข Photos are optional and not requested yet.
- โข Your private email will not appear publicly.

Cook, photograph, or review recipes with us
Food writers, home cooks, photographers, and cultural reviewers can propose an ongoing collaboration. Tell us about your experience and the cuisines you know firsthand.
Will I receive credit?
Yes. If we publish your contribution, the recipe will include the public credit agreed with you. Your private email address is never used as the public credit.
Are community submissions paid?
Not currently. Community submissions are voluntary and unpaid unless Cookimoki agrees to different terms with you in writing before publication.
Does every submission get published?
No. We review submissions for completeness, editorial fit, permissions, and whether we can test them responsibly. We may decline a recipe or ask for more information.
Can I submit a family or regional recipe?
Yes. Tell us how the recipe is connected to you and avoid claiming that one household version is the only authentic version of a dish.
Do I need professional photographs?
No. Photos are not required for the first submission. If the recipe moves forward, we may ask for original images and confirmation that you own them or can license them.
Can Cookimoki edit my recipe?
We may edit wording, measurements, order, safety guidance, and formatting so the recipe meets our publishing standard. Material cooking changes must be tested before publication.
